As a bassist & keyboardist: I lock in the groove first — feel over flash. On bass I focus on pocket, tone, and movement that makes the song breathe. On keys I blend rhythm, harmony and adding color. Process: We start by ear, not just theory. I’ll break down the song you’re into, show you the core pattern, then we build technique and creativity from there. Slow it down, clean it up, then bring it up to speed. Style as a tutor: No fluff, no boring drills in isolation. You’ll play real music from session 1, get feedback in the moment, and leave knowing why something works. Sessions are relaxed but focused — I’m pushing you just past your comfort zone each time. What makes it different: I teach you to think like a band member, not just a student. You’ll learn how to listen, adapt, and contribute, so you can walk into any jam or gig and actually hold it down.
